A strong partnership with the College of Medicine and Dentistry
Neuregenix has a strong partnership with the College of Medicine and Dentistry at the University of Birmingham and is currently working with them on a number of exciting new projects. A new collaboration with the ophthalmologists at the Trauma Research Centre in Birmingham focuses on evaluating the efficacy of a novel anti-scarring dressing for damaged and infected corneas that is delivered as a transparent eye drop that spreads and sets over the eye to protect the damaged tissue. This team is also developing another eye drop that is capable of delivering commonly used drugs across the cornea and into the back of the eye. The ability of patients to self-medicate with drugs that target the retina would alleviate the burden of costly unpleasant ocular injections. Neuregenix has also joined the Industrial Advisory Board for the “Science for Health” doctoral training program in the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences.”
